It is with great disappointment that I have to announce that the Rainforest Ultra 2026 has been cancelled.<\/p>\n
Despite many months of preparation, we simply did not manage to attract enough participants to make the event financially and logistically viable.\u00a0This was a very difficult decision. Many people in the communities of the RESEX Tapaj\u00f3s-Arapiuns, ICMBio and other local partners have invested time, enthusiasm and trust in this project. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported the idea of creating one of the world’s most unique trail running experiences.<\/p>\n
The Rainforest Ultra was never just about organising a race.<\/p>\n
The main objective has always been to create a permanently marked long-distance trail network through the RESEX Tapaj\u00f3s-Arapiuns and the FLONA that brings sustainable tourism and new economic opportunities to the local communities while protecting one of the most beautiful rainforest regions on Earth.<\/p>\n
